Dry Eye Relief That Goes Deeper Than Drops

Dry, burning, or watery eyes aren’t something you should just “live with.” At London Eyecare, we offer advanced, in-clinic treatments that target the root causes of dry eye, like inflammation and blocked glands, using IPL, radiofrequency, and light-based therapies. Artificial tears can provide supportive relief, but they don’t address the underlying cause.

That is why we use advanced diagnostic technology, including meibography, to evaluate your meibomian gland health and determine what’s truly driving your symptoms.

A man is sitting at a desk with his hands on his face. He is wearing a blue long-sleeve shirt and a white undershirt. He is holding a pair of glasses in his right hand. On the desk are a laptop, a cup, a pen holder, a stack of papers, and a potted plant. Behind him are shelves with books, a clock, and a plant.

What Is Dry Eye & Why Does It Happen?

Dry eye occurs when your tears evaporate too quickly or are not produced in the right balance. It is often linked to blocked oil glands (meibomian glands), screen-heavy lifestyles, hormone changes, or inflammation on the ocular surface.

Symptoms can include:

  • Burning or gritty sensation

  • Red, irritated eyes

  • Blurry or fluctuating vision

  • Light sensitivity

  • Excessive tearing or eye fatigue

Our Technology for Dry Eye Diagnosis & Treatment

Effective treatment starts with a proper assessment. We use modern diagnostic tools to evaluate tear quality, gland function, and the surface of the eye so that treatment is based on clinical findings rather than trial and error.

Our dry eye assessment may include:

  • Meibography to assess meibomian gland structure

  • Tear film evaluation

  • Ocular surface assessment

  • In-office testing to identify gland dysfunction and inflammation

This allows us to determine whether your dry eye is primarily evaporative, aqueous deficient, or mixed, and to recommend care accordingly.

In-Clinic Treatments That Work

We offer both foundational care and advanced in-clinic treatment, depending on the cause and severity of your symptoms.

These treatments are selected based on your symptoms, clinical findings, and response to previous care.

Supportive & Advanced Dry Eye  Care, Based on Your Needs

Not every patient needs advanced treatment right away. Some improve with supportive care such as lubricating drops, lid hygiene, supplements, or changes to their daily routine. Others need in-office treatment to address the source of the problem more directly.

Our role is to determine what is contributing to your dry eye, how significant it is, and which combination of therapies is most appropriate. That is what allows us to move beyond temporary symptom relief and work towards more stable comfort over time.

Is It Time to See an Optometrist for Dry Eye?

If you are using artificial tears every day but still experience discomfort, it is time. Chronic dry eye often gets worse without professional care. We help patients who:

  • Wear contact lenses

  • Work long hours at screens

  • Have seasonal or environmental triggers

  • Are post-LASIK or 40+

  • Struggle with dryness despite drops

If you score above a 6 on this dry eye screening test, please contact the clinic for a comprehensive dry eye assessment
