I had the same optometrist for over 30 years. I had major eye issues (MD), serious dry eye syndrome, cataracts, etc. as I aged. No help from her, no referrals to a specialist, endless dead ends. My eyes continued to deteriorate over for years to the point where I almost lost my license. I asked her numerous times, is there a specialist I can see, are there pills I can take for my eyes? Response was no, there is nothing you can do. WRONG! Our relationship ended Jan. 2026 when she retired. Fast forward to Mar. 2026. The greatest gift was Dr. Stephanie Van de Ven falling into my lap. She has done more for my eye issues in 3 months than the 30 plus years with my other Dr.. I am now on medications. Pills for dry eyes {YES, I said pills} for my eyes, drops.... scheduled cataract surgery, listened to my pleas for help and given me hope. I have the utmost respect for her and her expertise. She truly cares for her patients, really listens to you, takes action immediately, doesn't rush you through the door and definitely is an expert in her field. I really won the jackpot. On my first visit with her, I actually cried because I could feel her compassion and empathy and knew she would do everything in her power to help me. You won't be disappointed in putting your trust and your eyes in her care.

Dr. Van de Ven is absolutely one of the most caring healthcare professionals I’ve known. The care and concern she displays truly makes all the difference in the world. You really know you’re in good hands. I’ve recently had laser (IPL) treatment for a dry eye condition that has made a tremendous difference. The staff are remarkable! From the smiles and professionalism at the counter to the kindness of the technicians who take you through the process, you always feel comfortable and “at home”. And this is really what I think sets this clinic apart! The feeling of compassion and care, the laughter as they go about their day, to the real sense of belonging to this “family”. Kathleen, you are a gem! Such a kind, caring person who displays a high level of professionalism at the same time as getting a smile and laugh out of you! (Thank you so much for the birthday cupcakes ❤️). Our eyes are so important to us and it can be an anxious time to go through when it comes to treatment. Dr Van de Ven and all the staff (family) at London Eyecare do their absolute best to relieve you of that anxiety ❤️

Dr. Stephanie and team are always so caring and supportive. Great warm atmosphere. Dr. Stephanie is so positive, approachable and personable. I love going there with my family and the service we receive.

We saw Dr.Van De Vee today and she was great. The entire staff was professional and maintained an upbeat atmosphere. I was there for over an hour for an appointment for a toddler and myself and will be returning. Parking was available on site and the office has a well maintained ramp making it accessible.

The staff is amazing and they go above and beyond to help their customers. The store has wide selection of glasses to choose from and the doctors as well as reception are professionals.

I can’t even put into words how amazing these people were.. I went in for an eye exam and Dr. Letheren was extremely thorough and so helpful throughout the entire process. She made sure I knew what was going on during every step of the exam and I learned SO much about what was going on with my eyes. The team then went above and beyond to help me find the frames I wanted even staying past closing time with no rush or complaints to ensure they got all my measurements and that I was satisfied. I highly recommend coming here, I have zero complaints!

This appointment was a follow up to a hospital and Ivey Institute visit for possible retina detachment. The staff at Dr Letheren & Associates are always friendly and greet you with a "hello how are you". Dr Letheren is very thorough and explains each step of what she's doing as the checkup goes. She asks if you have any concerns or questions about your vision she can answer for you. Thank goodness I was lucky and no detachment was found. While there and waiting for my eyes to dilate, she sent me to the eyeglass desk to have my glasses tightened up for a snug fit. The service is always above standard.

It often takes a while to book an eye exam which is fine because it isn’t urgent. Today I had an eye emergency and just dropped by. They were so kind to fit me in. And they were short staffed. I don’t know what I would have done if they said no. I was quite distressed. Super people. Been going there for years. Thanks again for your compassion.

Very friendly and comfortable environment! I recently had an eye exam with Dr. Van de Ven, who was so kind and explained the steps of the exam very well. I had not been for an exam in almost a decade, so some things had changed! I did not feel any pressure to purchase my glasses at their office, nor was I rushed into picking frames. Jen spent hours with me, helping me choose new glasses and sunglasses. I went with a style that I would not have picked out myself, and I love them!! I have had both pairs for over 2 weeks now and I love them both and get lots of compliments. I definitely recommend this Optometrist office for both exams and eyewear. Thank you!!

I had my kids into the office and Dr. Letheren was fantastic with them! I learned a lot and really appreciate her expertise! I would 100% recommend if anyone is concerned about their kids, eye's are important for more than just vision so it's important to have them checked while they are young!
